Intracurricular
The
intracurricular activities in Sekolah Indonesia Kuala
Lumpur is progressing in conform to a regulation
concerning the national education system of Indonesia.
The subjects taught here are all the same as at schools
in Indonesia.

Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur (SIK)
has one-year academic period system. It's started in July and is
ending in June the next year. One academic year is divided into "caturwulan"s
or four-months academic sub-period. There are three caturwulans in an
academic year (caturwulan I, II, and III).
Extracurricular
The extracurricular
activities had its own function as to support the
intracurricular activities. Therefore, the choosing of
extracurricular activities by the school students are
limited for just two.
These are the activities:
SIK also do have English Speaking Days,
every Monday and Tuesday.
Holidays
SIK follows Indonesian national
schedule of holidays including religious holidays. Due to some changes
of the schedule recently, now every school in Indonesia will off every
Ramadhan, Islamic holy month, for one month, and at the end of
academic year for two weeks (usual one month). SIK will off also in
the end of every caturwulan I and II for one week.

The Development
of Indonesian School of Kuala Lumpur From
times to times, SIK has experienced macro transitions and developments, if
compared between SIK in the present day and SIK in the early days (1969).
The aspects of mentioned macro transitions and developments can be seen at
three main components, namely the number of students, number of teachers,
and the condition of educational facilities.

Facilities
As other schools, Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur
(SIK) provides its own
educational facilities to the students to encourage learning progress. The facilities have
increased vigorously either of the quality or the quantity. This is in the same way of the
school's eager to provide a better learning environments to every student.
We progressed
slowly as we provided them one by one. The most powerful facility was the new classroom
building, which built in early 1990s.
1990s is considered as a decade of growth by SIK. There were many facilities have been
added in the following years. They're all new and modern. But we still need more reliable
facilities to give all students the best learning environments.
