Persatuan Orang Tua Siswa dan Guru (Parent-Teacher Association) - POSG

What is POSG?

Persatuan Orang Tua Siswa dan Guru (POSG) or commonly Parent-Teacher Association, is formed in its objective in improving the quality of education by empowering existing capabilities among the parents, public, and school community.

The Main Functions of POSG

  1. To give helping hands together in the way of improving the education process in the school.
  2. To give helping hands in the extensive developments on students' abilities, characteristics, and mutual behaviors, mainly in the following areas: 
    a). Religious life
    b). Skills in organizing, leadership, and national spirit.
    c). Entrepreneurship
    d). Physical and mental health
    e). Technology and arts.
  3. To help the school in organizing educational funding.
  4. To help the school in the effort of developing the quality of education, following the school-based management guideline.

Membership and Management

The members of POSG in SIK consists of parents, teachers, and some of public figures/experts in education.

The management board of POSG is the following:

d. Treasurer
e. Coordinators in the fields of:
   1). Education
   2). Sports, Arts, and Culture
   3). Social 
   4). Facilities
   5).
Entrepreneurship
